  • The Girl Scouts of Connecticut have begun selling cookies for the 2026 season, with orders accepted online and through local volunteers; pre-orders will be filled on March 14 — troops will operate cookie booths until the end of April.  CT Insider

  • Westport’s arts scene has evolved from the Westport Arts Center into MoCA CT, which opened in September 2019 on Newtown Turnpike. The museum now hosts both world-class and local exhibits + sparking debate among longtime members.  06880

  • Spring & Mulberry extended its voluntary recall to include eight chocolate bar flavors after salmonella contamination was detected, affecting products sold online and at local retailers (including Double L Market).   • The Building Department has approved the demolition of the 66-year-old split-level home at 46 Park Lane—built in 1960 with 2,000 sqft of living space and traded for $1,215,000 in September. The permit sets the stage for its upcoming removal.  Westport Journal
  • Westport’s Building Department approved a permit to demolish the 81-year-old ranch at 5 Franklin Ave off Imperial Ave built in 1945. The property sold for $1,305,000 in October 2025 (it offers 1,300 sqft, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms) and demolition is scheduled.  Westport Journal

SPORTS NEWS

  • On Monday, the No. 1 UConn women's basketball team will face the No. 23 Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 5 p.m. in Storrs. UConn will rely on star Sarah Strong — a frontrunner for National Player of the Year — and Azzi Fudd to snap a four-game losing streak.  The Hour
  • Notre Dame-West Haven (8-2) will face Inglewood (Calif.) at 7 p.m. tonight during the Panini Hoophall Classic at Springfield College’s Blake Arena, as star Abdou Toure looks to build on his scoring streak while top national talents compete this weekend.  CTPost
