  • Staples boys basketball beat Fairfield Warde 84-51 Friday night — improving to 12-0 overall and 8-0 in FCIAC play with five players scoring in double digits — and will face Fairfield Ludlowe Tuesday at 7 p.m.  Westport Journal
  • Staples girls basketball defeated Fairfield Warde 58-26 on Friday—Addie Talbott led with 17 points as Chloe Smith and Freya Harvey added key contributions to boost the Wreckers to an 11-1 record.  Westport Journal
  • Staples girls basketball won 60-31 against Torrington on Thursday (Chloe Smith scored 20 points) and will host Fairfield Warde Friday at 7 p.m. for an FCIAC game.  Westport Journal
