- ➤ Stop & Shop lowered its everyday chicken prices in stores across CT, NY — including our Westport location — with reductions on wings, tenders and drums announced on Feb. 2 to help customers save for Super Bowl snacks. WFSB
- ➤ Sprouts, an organic grocery chain from Arizona, plans to open its first Connecticut store in Westport pending approval from the town's Planning and Zoning Commission on Post Road East. The 25,000 sqft project will relocate an existing pizza parlor and liquor store within the building. The Hour

- ➤ Suzanne Wilson worked at Famous Artists School on Wilton Road between 1969 and 1972 and recalled how hands-on teaching and social gatherings fostered a unique local art community in Westport. 06880

- ➤ Lawmakers will start the legislative session at the Capitol tomorrow, centering on proposals to protect children by limiting social media use and reducing cell phone distractions in schools.
