- ➤ Toy industry icons Melissa & Doug Bernstein, longtime Westport residents, were inducted into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame earlier this month in New York. Their award honors decades of creating imaginative toys that support learning and play for children. 06880
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Westport Country Playhouse will stage 2Motherpluckers: A Musical on March 10 at 7 p.m., featuring Fairfield County moms Julie Foldesi and Stacie Morgain Lewis as they perform an original musical that humorously explores the challenges of motherhood. Westport Journal
- ➤ Westport hosted cultural and civic events recently (including MoCA CT’s Art, Jazz and the Blues exhibit with remarks from Eric von Schmidt’s daughter and a reception for Library director Bill Harmer). A town meeting on the Cribari Bridge is set Tuesday at Town Hall for public input. 06880
- ➤ Westport Country Playhouse hosts Keys for Resilience (a benefit concert for Ukraine’s sister cities) on Thursday, March 5 at 7:00 p.m. The event will feature Ukrainian pianist Ruslan Ramazanov and Ukrainian-American soprano Teryn Kuzma playing classical pieces by renowned composers. 06880
