EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Westport Board of Education will vote on a revised 2026-27 school calendar at its April 2 meeting — one plan starts school Aug. 25 and ends on June 18, adjusts for up to nine snow days, and preserves April vacation unless extreme weather forces a change. Westport Journal

- ➤ Pfizer announced Monday that it would seek FDA approval for its Lyme vaccine after a Phase 3 trial in the U.S. + Canada + Europe showed over 70% efficacy. - ➤ The Public Health Committee advanced a revised bill on Monday, March 24 that would require heart health screenings for all high school athletes and could add EKG tests+ the measure aims to prevent sudden heart problems. If passed, it takes effect for the 2027-28 school year. The Hour
