COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Local animal shelters report that 70 cats and kittens were found at a New Fairfield home and now need help with food—litter and funds for vet care. Some cats are healthy while others show signs of respiratory or eye infections, feline leukemia, and other illnesses.  News 12 Connecticut

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Today, Tuesday, April 1, the town’s Selectwoman Jen Tooker sent her 'Westport in Focus' newsletter announcing a redesigned Selectwoman’s Office page on WestportCt.gov and a tentative schedule for public meetings on the Hamlet at Saugatuck project (including meetings on April 2 and April 7). The newsletter also updated progress on the Long Lots Elementary School project, noting that contracts have been approved and that groundbreaking is expected this year with a move-in planned for September (and it included additional upcoming town events).  06880
