  • Teens and retired locals met at the Westport Library for a 90-minute intergenerational discussion on whether mandatory national service is good, organized by BridgeBuilders with Staples High School students Jake Shufro and Sienna Schwartz and Y’s Men facilitators Jim Marpe and Tucker Mayes—participants plan to meet monthly to talk about the future of work.  06880

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Planning and Zoning Commission rescheduled the Hamlet at Saugatuck public hearing to April 7 and left the posted agenda unchanged even though plans had shifted. Commissioners sent the amendment on Baron’s South open-space affordable housing back to P&Z Director Michelle Perillie for revisions—a change that will set the stage for a later vote.  Westport Journal
