- ➤ The Long Lots School Building Committee meets tonight at Town Hall Room 201/201A to review design updates while Staples High math team finished first among public schools in the Fairfield County Math League and will compete in state meets on May 2—Saturday's Hands Off! protest drew the largest crowd to the Ruth Steinkraus Cohen Bridge since the Vietnam War, and upcoming events include book readings, VFW comedy and jazz shows, as well as a community cereal drive led by the Fortunoff family. 06880
- ➤ Westport will host the 'Dream Event' on April 26 at 6:30 p.m. at Westport Library at 20 Jesup Road to benefit A Better Chance of Westport programs for young men of color. The event will feature speeches, an auction, refreshments and a Community Ally honor for Dan Woog — former student Yoel Hooper-Antunez will give the speech he planned for his graduation.
