Good morning, Westport.

Today, attorney Josh Koskoff was named among Time’s 100 Most Influential People for his work holding gun makers accountable and Westport police made two arrests including an 83-year-old DUI near Coleytown Elementary School—citations for texting while driving reached 70 with tickets mostly issued to adults. Local updates also include Sweet P Bakery cookies featured at Yankee Stadium, a girls rugby exhibition on May 1 at Staples, community EMS CPR demonstrations, Circle of Friends’ 18th anniversary awards on May 4, a myTeam Triumph run with the first race on April 27, and a new podcast from local educators.

Hundreds of students and professors at UConn and Yale protested yesterday — urging their schools to defy the White House's new rules on diversity policies and foreign student visas.

They said the rules created fear among international students — with at least 54 student visas already revoked.
