- ➤ Local attorney Josh Koskoff will speak about his legal fight for gun safety and his notable $73 million settlement win on May 6 at Fairfield Theatre Company (6:30 p.m.). Connecticut Against Gun Violence sponsors his talk to share insights on the role of marketing in gun safety issues. 06880
- ➤ Westport’s 8.5-acre Prospect Gardens will be open to the public on May 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., showcasing lush trees, peony beds, and a meadow. A private tour for Westport Journal readers will be led by Kerri Williams on May 21 (a $15 fee will apply). Westport Journal

- ➤ Historian Morley Boyd (a local expert) shared photos of a 1935 coin struck to mark Westport’s centennial during the 249th anniversary of the Battle of Compo Hill. Community members are encouraged to add any details about the coin as preparation begins for next year’s 250th celebration. 06880

- ➤ Westport Library and the WDA hosted last night’s Fashionably Westport runway at Trefz Forum to raise funds for Homes with Hope — a program that supports housing and food pantry services — as nearly 100 models showcased outfits from over three dozen local retailers with silent auction bids boosting funds. 06880
