- ➤ Community members in Westport and across Fairfield County will volunteer on May 16 for an Epic Day of Service by local Rotary clubs with projects including Compo Beach Playground improvements, food and blood drives, a library sale and shelter garden work; the first 25 volunteers get a commemorative T-shirt. - ➤ Westport Garden Club will host its annual plant sale on Saturday, May 9, on Jesup Green from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The 98-year tradition features over 1,000 perennials, native plants, garden gifts and local partners, with proceeds funding community gardens, educational programs and environmental efforts.
