- ➤ A Westport Journal LIVE roundtable will discuss how to make the most of summer in Westport at the Ned Dimes Marina clubhouse on Compo Beach Road at 6 p.m. on June 9+ local experts will answer questions on securing tee times, tennis courts, boat slips and parking while registration is required for the free event. - ➤ Sixty-five veterans from World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War flew from Connecticut to Washington DC to visit the national memorials—such as the tomb of the unknown soldier and the Vietnam Wall. The trip, organized as part of National Military Appreciation Month, allowed the veterans to reflect on their service and the challenges they faced after returning home. WFSB

- ➤ A two-car crash at Saugatuck and Riverside avenues Tuesday morning in Westport led to two hospitalizations—firefighters extricated a trapped driver using battery-powered cutters and spreaders as police directed traffic and ambulances took the injured to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. - ➤ Lawmakers in Connecticut are reviewing a bill that could allow residents to bet on in-state college sports events like UConn games and add stronger gaming protections such as banning credit cards for online bets.
