  • Norwalk's eighth annual Michael Ness Memorial golf tournament will take place at Silvermine Golf Club on Monday, June 8 to raise funds for the Connecticut Burn Center at Bridgeport Hospital, following a 2013 housefire that deeply affected the Ness family.   • Westport teen entrepreneurs are launching successful ventures instead of jobs. Christian Rinaldi rebranded his mobile car detailing service as Car Concierge CT, while Will Stoutenburg and Ollie Vynerib expanded their window cleaning service and Pierce Brown and Ben Zwick started grill cleaning and auto advisory services — inspiring innovation.  06880

  • Dan Pugach, a Grammy Award-winning drummer, leads his quintet at VFW Post 399 this Thursday in the Jazz at the Post series hosted by the Jazz Society of Fairfield County. Dinner by Chef Derek Furino is served at 7 p.m. with musical sets at 7:30 and 8:45 p.m.  Westport Journal
  • The Westport Woman’s Club will host a cabaret-style fundraiser on Friday, June 12 featuring the show Cheese Fries & Chili Dips with comedy and a mental health talk.   • State officials held a news conference at East Haven Town Beach at 11 a.m. Tuesday to discuss the upcoming hurricane season and urge residents to prepare as NOAA forecast fewer storms due to competing weather factors + a possible strong El Niño.  The Hour

  • A recall has been issued for SKS Copack specialty drinks sold locally due to potential salmonella risk, and no illnesses have been reported. Customers with recalled items should return them for a refund and call (562) 404-8158 if they have questions.  The Hour

  • Norwalk-based Spinnaker Real Estate Partners pitched a plan for 157 rental apartments at 606 Riverside Ave — including 3,000 sqft retail space, 283 parking spaces, and 10% affordable units integrated throughout.
