  • Staples High School boys lacrosse team won a 7-6 state championship over Darien yesterday at Fairfield University, Westport Country Playhouse announced its 95th season with main plays running from October to August, and the Westport Library hosted a benefit featuring doctors in a band & Robert Stock holds a menswear trunk show this Friday and Saturday at 5 Post Road West while a High Point Road homeowner placed cones to block parking and Westport Naturally captured hungry deer on Long Lots Road.  06880

CRIME NEWS

  • Police arrested Westport resident Kyle Levitt—39—for trespassing at Terrain on Post Road East on May 31 and admitting to possessing Xanax and Oxycodone; he was released on $1,000 bond with a June 9 court date.  Westport Journal
  • Today, Westport police arrested Kyle Levitt on trespass and controlled substance charges and noted that two Fairfield residents turned themselves in over a hardware robbery while a Philadelphia man faced larceny charges for a wallet theft at a local bakery. Firefighters quickly controlled a dumpster fire on Hales Court and officials issued traffic advisories for downtown road closures during community events — these proactive measures help keep Westport safe and secure — as the busy day continues.  Westport Journal
