The white line on the right side of the road, devised by Westport’s John V.
N. Dorr in 1952 (tested on the Merritt Parkway), helped guide drivers at night and reduce collisions. The invention remains a proud part of our local legacy.
On the 4th of July, the online art gallery showed patriotic-themed art and asked artists of every age to email their work with details on the medium.
