COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Westport's 11th annual “06880” blog party is set for next Thursday, July 17 at 6 p.m. at the far end of Compo’s South Beach—near the boat and kayak launch—and invites locals to bring their own food, chairs, and blankets for a relaxed party.  06880
  • Over 3,200 Westport residents signed a petition and raised over $10,000 to support Old Mill Grocery & Deli at 222 Hillspoint Road, which faces a lawsuit by local property owners who claim the addition of a liquor license will harm the neighborhood. Owners Graziano and Maurizio Ricci say the deli offers only beer and wine to meet customer feedback—officials confirm there are no plans to serve hard liquor as the community defends its traditional grocer-deli.  The Hour
