- ➤ Cristina Jiménez — a national immigrant rights advocate and author of 'Dreaming of Home' — will speak at Westport Library on July 31 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. She will join members of Make the Road Connecticut to discuss the immigrant experience and local community action. Westport Journal
- ➤ Grammy Award-winner José Feliciano will headline Summer Jam at Westport Country Playhouse on Aug. 15, as the Church of the Assumption hosts the event to raise funds for its upcoming 150th anniversary renovations + a raffle and live auction will offer items like an autographed guitar from Feliciano’s collection. - ➤ Westport community gardeners and Parks & Rec officials are working to resolve disagreements over governance and liability after the school project led to the loss of their previous garden site.
