- ➤ Matthew Bergwall, a 22-year-old former University of Miami student from Darien, was sentenced on July 10 to one year and one day in prison for a shipping fraud scheme that cost retailers over $8 million and must pay nearly $1.5 million in restitution — including $1 million to Amazon. The Hour

- ➤ Legendary jam band Dark Star Orchestra performed at the Levitt Pavilion Saturday night in Westport and raised funds for free summer concerts+ The band played a mix of Dead covers and its own energetic tunes by the riverfront as it continued its tour across 12 states in July and August.
