- ➤ Delamar Westport began its soft opening on July 1 and guests viewed its lobby, which was designed by Project Runway winner Christian Siriano. The hotel at 1595 Post Road East will have 86 guest rooms, a Mediterranean restaurant and three Siriano Suites—completion is expected by late summer. The Hour
- ➤ Gruel Britannia, a restaurant with British charm, opened Monday at 161 Cross Highway in the former Porch at Christies building, offering breakfast, lunch, tea service, and a Tuck Shop—where local Anglophiles pick up snacks from early morning until 4 p.m. Founders Karen Hubrich and Scott Rochlin, long-time Westport residents and experienced restaurateurs, plan community events and will add dinner service in September—featuring British prime rib on Sundays.
