Good morning, Westport.

Local groups announced a busy schedule as AWARE met at Compo Beach on Wednesday and will host a new member coffee on July 31, while the Soundview Summer Stroll will fill Soundview Drive with live music and kids’ activities on Sunday.

The Chamber’s summer get-together featured free music shows previewed for this weekend and Westport resident Alisyn Camerota’s memoir Combat Love will release on Tuesday—Sherwood Island’s fundraiser is set for September 5.

Westport’s 50 Post Road West, once seen as an eyesore, will be transformed into 13 apartments while a new building will add four more units—the plans preserve the historic Greek Revival façade with columns carefully recreated—and the Architectural Review Board largely approved the project, though minor design tweaks are required. New owners will complete the revisions before finalizing the renovation.
