- ➤ The Planning and Zoning Commission approved The Clubhouse’s request to extend outdoor dining hours at 1620 Post Road East to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays—commissioners said sound-dampening panels address noise concerns. They voted unanimously—ensuring The Clubhouse now receives the same operating treatment as other local restaurants. Westport Journal

- ➤ Westport psychiatrist Lazaro Pomeraniec, who practices in Fairfield, was charged on Monday with two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault from separate incidents—one charge had been under investigation since his June arrest for allegedly assaulting a patient. News 12 Connecticut
- ➤ Former WWE executive Vince McMahon was involved in a multicar crash last week on Route 15 in Westport when he struck the car in front of him and hit a wooden median—state police charged him with reckless driving and following too closely with no injuries reported. News 12 Connecticut
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Connecticut lawmakers passed a bill last month that is expected to lower electric bills by bonding state funds to save customers up to $200 a year. On Friday, the Bond Commission will authorize $155 million in bonds to reduce rates — though taxpayers will repay the borrowed money over time. CTPost

- ➤ Westport drivers will see that Merritt Parkway exits are now numbered 20 and 21 instead of 41 and 42 as Connecticut's DOT switches to a mileage-based system.
