  • Clubhouse Westport received approval from the Planning and Zoning Commission to extend its rooftop dining hours—now open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and until 11 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays. CRIME NEWS

  • Fairfield police say Westport psychiatrist Dr. Lazaro Pomeraniec, a 75-year-old accused of fourth-degree sexual assault after more than 10 patients reported he inappropriately touched them during hugs, surrendered his license on July 8+ and will face court on Aug. 8+ following incidents reported on May 13, June 24, and March 13.  The Hour

  • Sinéad O’Connor fans will gather on Aug. 6 at Westport Library for a free tribute that includes live music and a panel discussion drawn from the essay collection Nothing Compares to You — featuring Fairfield University panelists.   • Carson Einarsen’s team arranged for Westport teachers to be honored on a Times Square billboard (located near 7th Avenue and 47th Street) that shows the names of six educators to thank them for their impact.
