- ➤ The Vincent Penna Jr Memorial Car Show will be held on Sunday, August 10 at 148 East Avenue in Norwalk to honor the late Westport police officer and raise funds for local student scholarships—hundreds of classic and exotic cars are expected along with live music, raffle prizes, food trucks, and more. Organizers stated the event will be rescheduled to August 17 if rain causes a delay. Westport Journal

- ➤ After the Planning and Zoning Commission rejected the Hamlet at Saugatuck plan, ROAN Ventures said it will file an affordable housing proposal called The Alliance for Saugatuck Housing Opportunity. The new plan will include about 500 housing units—30% of which must be affordable—and will be filed under the state’s 8-30g statute to provide new housing options in Westport. The Hour
- ➤ After the Westport Planning and Zoning Commission rejected the luxury hotel, marina and condo project along the Saugatuck River on Aug 8, developers plan to convert the proposal into 300 to 500 apartment units. Nearly a third of the units will be affordable housing and the new plan moves forward under the state's 8–30g law—town planners can only block it for health or safety reasons. News 12 Connecticut
