  • This September, stargazers in Connecticut will see Saturn shine bright when it reaches opposition on Sept. 21, giving its best view of the rings. On Sept. 19, the Moon, Venus, and Regulus will be close together before dawn—an event local skywatchers should watch.  CTPost

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Westport’s Planning and Zoning Commission spent two hours on Wednesday discussing whether talks with Roan Ventures for the Hamlet project should be public or private and postponed the final vote to Monday, Sept. 8 at 6 p.m.—the commission narrowly favored private sessions in a 3-2 vote amid concerns about potential affordable housing applications.  Westport Journal
