  • At a recent Fall Culture Preview at the Westport Library, 100 local guests listened as arts experts shared plans for theater, film, literature and art.   • Staples boys soccer team won 5-1 at Wakeman Field on Saturday after Josh Whitaker scored an early goal in the 8th minute that set the tone for four additional goals—an effort that marked a strong start as the team prepares for upcoming games against Enfield, Norwalk, Stamford, and Darien.  Westport Journal
  • The Fairfield National Little League team will be honored at Yankee Stadium before Tuesday night's game against the Detroit Tigers, as team manager Brian Palazzolo said they are returning to school and fall sports after a strong finish at the Little League World Series—an honor that adds to their exciting comeback—.
