  • State officials advised pharmacists to follow CDC guidelines for COVID vaccines as part of Gov. Lamont’s measures—to keep access open amid federal uncertainty, including updated dosing for young children and pregnant patients.   • Westport native Ben Casparius was sent down to Triple-A by the Dodgers Tuesday afternoon—manager Dave Roberts said the move will help him regain his form ahead of the postseason. He pitched in Oklahoma City on Wednesday and may return to support the team in future playoff games.  CTPost
  • Charlie Morton, a 41-year-old veteran with two World Series rings, has struggled in his past three starts but has become a key leader for the Tigers since being traded from Baltimore on July 31—teammates say his steady work and calm guidance help younger players.
