- ➤ Westport’s League of Women Voters has scheduled candidate events for local offices this fall including a conversation with 1st — 2nd Selectperson candidates on September 26, a brunch on October 4, a board meeting on October 15, and candidate debates on October 27 and 28 while Peter Greenberg will speak at Westport Library on September 25 and the Tedeschi Trucks Band will perform tomorrow night at Levitt Pavilion. Lifelong resident Josephine D’Amico died Thursday at home and her funeral with a Mass of Christian burial is set for September 16 at Assumption Church. 06880
- ➤ Bike Westport has reached out to election candidates including Kevin Christie, Don O’Day, and David Rosenwaks and town residents to sign its pledge for a safer, more walkable and bikeable community. The non-profit said the pledge supports public health, safety, and economic growth—aiming to shape candidate platforms and benefit local families. 06880

- ➤ Today, an online art gallery that has been curated for over five years showcases two weavings for the first time+ marking a new direction in its collection. The gallery accepts reader submissions in many mediums including watercolors, oils, and digital prints+ broadening its artistic range. 06880
