Westport Parks & Recreation Commission chair David Floyd recently joined the library for the 06880 podcast chat to discuss local parks, beaches and athletic fields.
The event offered residents a closer look at the town’s community amenities.
🏥 Health
Hartford HealthCare rebranded its 76-bed behavioral health campus as The Shores on Long Lots Road in Fairfield County, introducing a new Welcome Center (open six days a week) that offers quicker access to care.
A ribbon cutting is planned for Oct. 14 to mark the facility’s reopening.
🏈 Sports
UConn football lost to Maryland 38-14 after a blowout win over Lafayette, though head coach Jason Candle said the team showed signs of improvement with over 80 new players.
They will travel to Mississippi for their next game at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
