CULTURE NEWS

  • Preservation advocates Morley Boyd and Wendy Crowther asked town officials to restore the Kings Highway Burial Ground after they found fallen trees and unsafe conditions affecting the Colonial-era headstones. Parks Superintendent Nick Quatrano said the 1.4-acre site at Kings Highway and Wilton Road faces access issues that drive up repair costs—making it hard to use machinery for needed work.  Westport Journal

  • Connecticut high school boys soccer teams showed strong play last week, with Greenwich's Nicholas Martschenko scoring a winning goal in Westport against Staples—keeping his team undefeated.
