- ➤ Staples high school football coach Matty Jacowleff was named High School Coach of the Week after his team beat Darien 31-6, earning a $2,000 check from the Giants Foundation—he will be honored at a season dinner and a 2026 pre-season game. The Westport Library is hosting StoryFest art exhibits through December 16 with receptions on October 15 and October 29, and local memorial services for Bob Gill on October 12 at Willowbrook Cemetery and for Jo Ann Arciola on October 16 at Assumption Cemetery. 06880
