- ➤ The 288th online art gallery features an alabaster piece by new-to-06880 artist Alan Goldberg that celebrates the release of Israeli hostages and includes a politically relevant work by Duane Cohen. This series—launched during the early days of COVID—runs every Saturday and welcomes art submissions from creators of all ages. 06880
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Staples High School will let seniors leave early to work internships this spring, where they will work 5 hours a day for 3-4 weeks in jobs ranging from retail to design — local businesses are asked to host these interns. Program coordinators are arranging over 400 placements, and students will gain real-world experience before graduation. 06880

8:20 a.m.–12:00 p.m. — Weston High School — Proceeds benefit local charity — Run for a great cause and enjoy the scenic route across the finished bridge.

8 AM – 12 PM — Sherwood Island State Park — $35 entry — Celebrate Veterans Day with a scenic 5K supporting Heroes for the Brave.
