- ➤ The Westport Balducci's grocery store at 1385 Post Road E. will close no later than February 28 as it stays open through the holiday season. The company plans to transfer 59 non-union employees to other locations — offering severance pay if transfers are not possible. The Hour
- ➤ Martha Stewart's restaurant The Bedford by Martha Stewart at Foxwoods in the Grand Pequot Tower is delayed and will now open in March. The restaurant will serve breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner with seasonal specialties made from local ingredients—it was planned to open this fall. The Hour

- ➤ Connecticut is giving food banks $3 million in emergency funds to serve up to six million meals as 360,000 residents will lose SNAP benefits on Saturday because of the federal shutdown. Gov.
