- ➤ Access Health CT said that many policyholders will face higher monthly premiums in January—while Westporters supported a Rotary-Police food drive for Homes with Hope and the Westport League of Women Voters planned a coffee session on November 12 and a theater outing on November 14. Saugatuck Church celebrated its 75th anniversary with a historic move re-enactment, the Westport Library Store opened a larger holiday shop, the Garden Club earned awards, and Splash Car Wash will offer free washes for veterans on November 11—news coming amid Stop & Shop’s new delivery service issues. 06880
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Westport officials reported that rumble strips were added on Kings Highway North after an 18-year-old student died in September 2024, and the town will install new traffic signals, pedestrian features, and vehicle detection systems at 12 intersections as part of a $16 million project set to start winter 2026—projects that also include sidewalk upgrades on Compo Road and a proposed stop sign in the Greens Farms area—to improve safety.
