  • Yesterday, Westport resident Jay Norris introduced ThoughtPartnr—an AI platform using local data to help small businesses streamline operations and plan growth at the Chamber meeting.   • Pratt and Whitney—one of Connecticut's largest employers—secured a $1.1 billion U.S. government contract for work on F100 engine parts for fighter jets that was delayed in posting due to the government shutdown.  CT Insider

  • A variety of holiday shows are scheduled across Connecticut this season, featuring ballets, concerts, and musicals from November through December.   • Connecticut police warn parents that new e-bike laws went into effect October 1 and now require e-bikes with motors over 750 watts to be treated as motor driven cycles needing a driver’s license; all riders must wear helmets.   • Staples High juniors founded a Health Tech Initiative Club to track lead levels in local waterways that exceed the EPA standard of 15 parts per billion.   • According to GametimeCT calculations, 26 teams have unofficially clinched playoff berths in CIAC football after 10 weeks of play—remaining spots will depend on bonus points from upcoming games.
