- ➤ Metro-North has added an extra super express train each day from Grand Central for the holidays, starting this week and running through Jan. 2. Passengers on the New Haven line will benefit from fewer stops (Stamford, Bridgeport, and New Haven) and shorter travel times. WFSB

- ➤ Kosta Jewelers will close its Norwalk store and shift to online sales after over 40 years, offering 50 to 70% off jewelry at its Wall Street location through Feb. 28. The family owned and operated business will keep its legacy alive with a new digital platform. CTPost

- ➤ It’s a Wonderful Life will be shown at Sacred Heart University Community Theatre on Friday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. Westport Journal’s film reviewer Susan Granger will speak after the screening to explain the film’s Hollywood history and Jimmy Stewart’s role. Westport Journal

- ➤ A new state law lets local farmers use drones for targeted crop management, planting and pesticide spraying under Public Act 25-152 (FAA certification and department certificates are required) while regulators update rules by March 1.
